A Flavorful and Festive Celebration of Local Food & Farms

Pick up YOUR copy of the Eat Local Month Guide mid August!

eat local month wheelSeptember is a special time in Northwest Washington. It’s the height of the harvest season and prime time to shine a light on all the good folks who grow, raise, create and lovingly prepare the delicious food we eat; and celebrate.

To us, local means food that is grown, raised or produced in Whatcom, Skagit, Island & San Juan counties. When you buy local food at a grocery store, make the effort to head to the farmers market or choose a restaurant or food artisan that guys local, you should feel good! You are eating in support of families, our community, and lots of hard work done behind the scenes to get our food from seed to plate.

And doesn’t it make it that much more satisfying? So all September long, we want to say kudos to you!

Grab yourself an Eat Local Month Guide and Get Started!—NOW at The Community Food Co-op stores, area farmers markets, visitors centers, Village Books, Public Libraries, or flip through this easy-to-view online version HERE.
