Community Connections CD through Peoples Bank

Sustainable Connections is pleased to announce an opportunity for community members to leverage their investment dollars and benefit Sustainable Connections through a Peoples Bank Community Connections Certificate of Deposit program. Peoples Bank is offering a certificate of deposit at a featured rate, greater than the bank’s standard 12-month rate, with a minimum opening balance of $500 or more.

Sustainable Connections will receive a quarterly donation of 25 basis points on each Community Connections Certificate of Deposit. For example, for every $1,000,000 in Community Connections CDs, Sustainable Connections will receive $2,500. We will continue to receive payments equal to one quarter of one percent of the average balance annually for as long as the Community Connections CD is renewed.

The larger the CD you open, the more Peoples Bank gives back to Sustainable Connections. “Peoples Bank was looking for a way to help investors to support community organizations like Sustainable Connections while achieving their financial goals,” according to Tony Repanich, Executive Vice President of Retail Banking and Marketing for Peoples Bank. “Plus, the Community Connections CD also gives Peoples Bank an opportunity to augment its support of Sustainable Connections’s mission.”

If you are interested in opening a Community Connections CD, contact your Peoples Bank branch for information, or go to their website, www.peoplesbank-wa.com and follow the links to the Community Connections CD page. Thank you for your generous ongoing support of Sustainable Connections.
