To ensure that critical decisions are not made by some distant board of directors but by people who live in the community and who feel the impacts of their decisions. For the ninth year we are taking this week to recognize and celebrate our local, independently owned businesses that contribute to our one-of-a-kind community by providing variety, supporting our well being, reducing their environmental impact, keeping our dollars recirculating which keeps our economy strong, and providing local jobs.
