Whatcom Smart Trips is a program that encourages people to make more of their trips by walking, bicycling, sharing rides and riding the bus. Join Kirsten Wert, the Smart Trips Program Coordinator, to talk about encouraging employees, getting started as a bike commuter, making Smart Trips with your kids and the payoff of independent teen travelers.  Spring, with its longer days, is the perfect time to get started!

Employers can play an important role by developing worksite transportation programs. The Smart Trips Employer Partner program supports employers who would like to promote Smart Trips at their work sites.

Sustainable Connections member businesses can earn a Smart Trips icon to be listed next to your business in the Membership Directory and the Think Local Coupon Book by participating in the Smart Trips Employer Partner Program.  If you'd like to participate and work to encourage your employees to use transportation options other than driving let us know.

To sign up for this program you need to email Abby to let her know you'll attend this Smart Trips Workshop.

If you are a sole proprietor and already enrolled in Smart Trips or are considering it let us know.  You might be eligible to receive the icon too.
