BinBump Celebration
Bellingham’s first expedited Bin Bump project is complete and Sustainable Connections invites you to join us for a contractor’s open house. John Nelson, Northwest Framing & Finishing recently completed a 5-Star BuiltGreen & Energy Star NW home that includes a 1.4kW solar system, Towards Zero Waste practices and an integrated Emerging Green Builders accreditation program that consulted throughout construction. You’ll learn from energy experts on smart envelope choices that drive both energy/comfort and cost performance, ductless mini-splits and how that translates to effective subsidies/incentives from the utilities. A truly unique approach to building a home.
Join us for an SC style BBQ featuring:
- Steve Sundin, City of Bellingham and a Ten in ’10 Update
- ICC-700 Green Codes update
- HERS index vs Energy Utilization Intensity (EUI)
- ENERGY STAR rebates and incentive specialists
- Towards Zero Waste practices
- Naturally fed bison burgers by Twisted S Ranch
- Local brew from Chuckanut Brewery
When: Tuesday, August 31 4:30-6:30pm
Location: 2200 King Street (near Hardware Sales)
Cost: suggested $5 donation
