An All-local Thanksgiving with Mary Ellen Carter

Celebrate the bounty of our local harvest for your Thanksgiving dinner! A veritable feast will showcase all of the gorgeous local ingredients available to us at this abundant time of the year. Recipes will include traditional Thanksgiving side dishes with a twist, using ingredients grown or processed in Whatcom County.

Local cookbook author, newspaper columnist, and cooking instructor Mary Ellen Carter is a strong advocate of returning to the table to enjoy good food.

Advance registration required at the Downtown or Cordata Co-op. A deposit of $10 is due at registration, with the remainder of the $10-$30 sliding scale fee due at the class. All proceeds will be donated to the Food Bank Farm. Space is limited – register soon!

FARMfood: Green Living with Chef Daniel Orr

Join renowned chef Daniel Orr at the Community Food Co-op's Connection Building as part of the Bellingham Farmers Market's "Chef at the Market" series. In FARMfood, he advocates using locally grown, wholesome ingredients and features a diverse assortment of recipes influenced by his Midwestern roots, as well as his stellar global culinary career.

 

Space is limited for this talk, demonstration, and sampling from FARMfood, so arrive early. (Please park on the street, not in the Co-op lot, for this event.)
