Event: Whatcom Co. Farm Tour   
Location: 11 Farms in Whatcom County
Date: Saturday Sept. 11, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Bellingham, WA – Next Saturday, 11 Whatcom County farms will open their doors to the public for the 3rd Annual Whatcom County Farm Tour, a festive day of fresh flavors and local food explorations.

This free, family-friendly and self-guided tour features some of Whatcom County’s finest farms, exciting interactive activities and the chance to discover the roots of abundant food grown in Northwest Washington.

New this year, the Farm Tour features two bicycle routes in partnership with SmartTrips and Everybody Bike, a family friendly and a connoisseur bike loop included in the Farm Tour Guide. Everybody Bike will conduct a group tour with some support given enough participants register by September 6th. The Tour is also Toward Zero Waste event with food waste and recycling stations at each stop.

Tourgoers can pet a Navajo-Churro sheep at Heritage Lane Farm, savor an everbearing strawberry or walk through a labyrinth at Bellingham Country Gardens, saunter through apple orchards and see the variety of nursery plants at Cloud Mountain Farm, go on a hayride with the kids at Mama's Garden, sample delectable bison at Twisted S Ranch, and much more!
