Details

Explore this new, high performance home that is designed for all ages built by Martha Rose Construction, and presented at the Green Building Slam in 2024. This home features multiple private living spaces allowing housemates/renters or intergenerational living. The property has LID features to handle storm water on-site. Infiltration, vegetated roofs, and a rain garden are some of the low impact development features.

Wood from the original home was re-used in the construction of the detached garage and studio and other recycled lumber was purchased or salvaged for use within the home. Energy efficient equipment has been used and a 9.1 KW solar array is on the roof, offsetting some of the electrical use. EV car charging is provided and exterior siding and roofing is fire resistant.

It’s a Green Home Tour party! Help us celebrate all of the excitement of Green Home Tour Week. Enjoy refreshments and, if weather permits, bites grilled over the fire.
