“Our mission is to empower adults to achieve their goals and improve their lives through literacy. The Whatcom Literacy Council, ‘Opening doors. Changing lives.’ by providing free one-to-one tutoring and small group classes for adults who are motivated to learn. We train and support volunteers to teach their neighbors, giving them tools to become more employable and take better care of their families.”
