Enjoy the enchanting sounds of the holiday season as The Problem Jazz Band serenades you with their musical talents. The soothing melodies will create a harmonious backdrop for your shopping experience.
Founded by local real estate agent, sax player, and Berklee College of Music graduate Frank Youngblood, as well as Bellingham trombonist and performer Samuel Harris, The Problem was formed as an official collaboration between some of the youngest freelance jazz musicians in Bellingham! The Problem is meant to act as an outlet for the creativity, musicianship, and spirit of our members and fans alike. We want to spread Bellingham‘s hippest notes across the Pacific Northwest, all while growing the local scene for young musicians back at home!
The Problem is Bellingham’s hippest jazz/funk/soul/pop group. Composed of some of Bellingham’s youngest professional jazz musicians ranging from 19-25 years of age, we have no issue playing our own take on hundreds of jazz tunes and originals – as well as pop, funk, and soul tunes ranging decades!

2023 Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade presented by Edaleen Dairy
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Enjoy the festive melodies of carolers and witness a magnificent spectacle featuring illuminated trucks, cars, floats, wagons, farm equipment, and more! The parade starts at the Fairway Center and proceeds along Front Street through downtown Lynden, allowing onlookers to explore a delightful array of Christmas shopping opportunities in the stores of Lynden before the parade begins!
