Our Economic Future Through Ports: From Bellingham to Seattle—Airports, New Industries, and Port Governance

Join us to hear why the ports of Washington have such expansive responsibility for economic development, learn about the future of airports in Western Washington including Bellingham International Airport, and discuss the pros and cons of going from three commissioners to five. In addition, we’ll learn what adding a rail link to the ship terminal in Bellingham means for future activity on our waterfront.

Founded in 1993, the Bellingham City Club is a non-partisan civic organization with over 300 members that fosters dialogue and debate on important issues facing our community. Meetings are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of each month (except November and December) from 12 noon to 1:30 pm.
