Portrait painting is more than just painting the likeness of a person. It is also about capturing that person’s essence. Join artist Trish Harding for this welcoming class as you learn how to paint a portrait using your choice of oils or acrylics. Inspired by the current exhibition, Up Close & Personal you’ll learn how to draw your subject, as well as paint the likeness and essence of your subject. Taking cues from one of the most important portrait painters of our time, Chuck Close, and using your own photo, be prepared to join Trish for this one-day workshop as she encourages your own creative potential.

Some experience with your media is suggested. A supply list will be provided prior to the class; canvases and easels will be provided. Bring a lunch and water bottle. Registration is limited to 10 participants. Masks are required throughout the workshop.

Cost: $50 non-members/$40 members
