Exploring Western Spain with Bodegas Frontaura
Saturday 2 – 4 pm.

March 10, 2018

This tasting is focusing on two distinct regions in Western Spain, Toro and Ribera del Duero.  Wine has been made in Toro since the end of the 1st century BC, when the ancient Greeks taught the local Celtic tribes. In the Early Middle Ages, the wines from Toro were the first to be traded in the region of the River Duero. Ribera del Duero is a Spanish Denominación de Origen (DO) located in the country’s northern plateau and is one of eleven ‘quality wine’ regions within the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is also one of several recognised wine-producing regions to be found along the course of the Duero river.  Both zones mainly focus on one grape-Tempranillo.  This will be a great oppertunity to taste one grape from two different areas.

We welcome Loreto Herrero, USA Brand Manager for Nexus Frontaura to pour and educate.

Saturday, March 10th.  2-4 pm. No fee tasting
