Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries (as well as other varieties of drupeleted delights) thrive in our maritime climate. Luckily for you, the Farm to Table Trails feature several berry farms that offer u-pick and we-pick options for your favorite fruits. Barbie’s Berries – Barbie’s Berries is a beloved local berry farm located in Ferndale WA. This family-owned farm offers u-pick options for some of the most popular Northwest varieties of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries in their respective seasons. Check their website for availability and hours, then head out for some of the freshest, most delicious berries around.

Cascade Blueberry Farm – Located in Custer WA, Cascade Blueberry Farm has been family-owned and –operated since 1985. Their lovely farm stand is open every day from May 1 to October 1 and is bursting with a variety of vegetable starts and petunia hanging baskets in the early season. They then move to a full vegetable farm stand featuring everything from cucumbers to tomatoes, and, of course, blueberries available in their season (August 1), for U-pick or retail.
Boxx Berry Farm – Boxx Berry Farm in Ferndale WA is a berry-lovers’ paradise! This family-operated berry and vegetable farm offers both retail and u-pick berries for you to enjoy. They also sell homemade strawberry shortcake (!!) and ice cream, and make their own jams and syrups.
Nooksack Blueberries – Nestled in Nooksack, you’ll find Nooksack Blueberries, a certified organic blueberry farm offering u-pick and fresh berry sales at their farm stand. They grow ten varieties of blueberries that ripen from mid-July into September.
Breckenridge Blueberries – Breckenridge Blueberries is a family-owned, certified organic blueberry farm nestled against the foothills of Sumas Mountain in Everson. Their 5-acre farm has nearly 3,000 blueberry plants that they harvest entirely by hand. Their farm is perfect for U-Picking; their fields are flat, well maintained, and easily accessible. They offer both U-Pick and We-Pick during the blueberry season.
Bow Hill Blueberries – Bow Hill Blueberries is a small family farm in Bow with a big commitment to growing and preserving organic heirloom blueberries. Amid rows of Bluecrop, Stanley, Rubel, and deep in the legendary “Jersey Jungle,” you can take in the scenery while enjoying their small batch blueberry ice cream or their award-winning, cold-pressed, organic blueberry juice.
