BBGPBACKYARD BEANS & GRAINS PROJECT

The Backyard Beans & Grains Project, conducts seed trials, sells locally-grown heirloom seeds, and educates farmers and gardeners on how to grow dry beans, grains, and seed crops using low-tech methods. We teach workshops on winter gardening, food preservation, and year-round local eating. Our home base is Riverhaven Farm, at the confluence of Fishtrap Creek and the Nooksack River, where several farmers cooperatively grow perennial food crops, mixed produce, lamb, and poultry.
