For three decades RMC Architects has designed vibrant neighborhoods, efficient health centers, exemplary classrooms, and great community gathering places. They’ve worked on projects for some of your favorite local businesses like Social Fabric and the Community Food Co-op and helped create keystone buildings like the Waples Building in downtown Lynden or the Rocket Building in Historic Fairhaven.
They have been making serious impacts to improve affordable housing in Bellingham and beyond. When you look at their list of residential projects showcased on their website, you’ll see they’ve committed themselves to a large array of projects designed to ensure Whatcom’s under-served communities have healthy, beautiful places to call home. RMC has contributed to each of these projects through their expertise and craft, but also through working pro-bono to help keep costs low, ensuring more of the budget is goes towards housing those in need.
RMC Architects believes that architecture serves to lift, bind and sustain us – and that every project is an opportunity to prove it. They’ve won Bellingham Alive Magazine’s Best of the Northwest in the architect category and they’ve received a Housing Luminary Award through the Whatcom Housing Alliance for their design of Eleanor Apartments, which provides homes for 80 seniors in our community.
