Food Recovery Program
We’ve got an amazing Food Recovery Program that collects surplus edible food from restaurants and delivers the food to hunger relief agencies. Cut down on carbon emissions, keep food out of the landfill, and feed community members experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers are always needed to keep this program running smoothly. Whatcom county farm tour
Volunteer for the Whatcom County Farm Tour!
Sustainable Connections is looking for volunteers to help make the 2026 Whatcom County Farm Tour a success on Saturday, September 12.
The Farm Tour is a free, family-friendly event that connects community members with local farms and the people who grow our food. This year, visitors will have the opportunity to explore 14 farms throughout Whatcom County, and we’re seeking volunteers to help welcome guests and keep the event running smoothly.
Volunteers will staff registration and information booths, greet visitors, provide directions and basic event information, check guests in, and accept donations.
