Seeking Health is a local organization with a big impact, both on the lives of the people they touch and in the community they call home. Founded by Dr. Ben Lynch in 2011, Seeking Health is a vitamin and supplement company that creates products to support their customers’ optimal health and wellbeing.
Seeking Health constantly seeks to align their work with their six core values: Create Customers for Life; Take Purposeful Action; Embrace Change; Collaborative Effort; Never Settle; and Be You. These core values are integrated into every aspect of the business: from sourcing raw ingredients to manufacturing to distribution to exceptional customer service.
That spirit of service extends to the company culture and beyond. Seeking Health prioritizes the mental, physical, and emotional health of their team through innovative wellness programs and incentives, vacation benefits, and a sense of perspective. “I tell someone – if you’re having a bad day, just read the product reviews on our prenatal page. See the difference you’re making in peoples’ lives,” Rustad says.
Seeking Health changes more and more lives each year, as they expand the organization. After all, when one of your core values is never settle, the sky’s the limit. And even then, Seeking Health would have something to say about limits.
With their recent growth, Seeking Health saw an opportunity to do more good than ever before. Their focus on health seeks to optimize peoples’ lives through innovatively researched and developed products. However, they also recognize that individual wellness takes place within a community, and the wellness of the community is equally essential. That’s where Seeking Health’s Optimizing Lives Program (OLP) comes in.

However, they also recognize that individual wellness takes place within a community, and the wellness of the community is equally essential. That’s where Seeking Health’s Optimizing Lives Program (OLP) comes in.
Seeking Health’s OLP donates 7% of profits towards their social responsibility objectives, raising over $1.3 million of donations towards organizations within one of their six areas of focus: environment, arts, wellness, basic needs, education, and research. One such organization is Sustainable Connections, which Seeking Health supports because of our holistic efforts to build a stronger community.
As Rustad explains, “A healthy community is healthy in mind, body, and soul. Collaborative Effort is one of our core values, and when you’re working with great partners, 2+2 is not 4. You can scale exponentially.”
And that’s just what Seeking Health has done with Sustainable Connections, providing sponsorship to programs that benefit different aspects of our community. “We want to make an impactful change within the community,” Rustad says, and he recognizes that systems change takes a comprehensive approach. “We want to build strong, holistic foundations for our community, so folks can have access to affordable housing, local food, and health and wellness services.”
And with more growth in Seeking Health’s future, including a new warehouse in Tennessee, the impact that they have on this community is only going to become stronger and more impactful. Creating a healthy community takes commitment on every level, and we at Sustainable Connections are grateful to have the support of local companies like Seeking Health .
