Energy Club: Clean Buildings Act

Thursday, January 19, 2023 | 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Sustainable Connections presents Energy Club (because it’s cool to be in a club), a quick and casual meetup to give energy efficiency enthusiasts and professionals all of the tools, information, and connections they need to make steps toward energy efficiency in the workplace and the world.

This month, Energy Club will be a hybrid event. Join us in person at the Sustainable Connections office or from the comfort of your own desk!

January’s meeting is all about the Clean Buildings Act, groundbreaking legislation that is driving all of the largest buildings in Washington State to meet energy efficiency standards. Whether you own or work in a building larger than 20,000 square feet, are a contractor who works on energy efficiency and renewables projects, or are just interested in learning more about what our state is doing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, this session is for you. We will be joined by representatives from Peak Sustainability and Puget Sound Energy, who will provide an overview of the provisions and implications of the new law as a jumping off point for a round table discussion, as well as sharing resources to help businesses that are required to comply.

Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be provided at the in-person meeting!

When: Thursday, January 19 at 8am
Where (in person): Sustainable Connections Conference Room, 1701 Ellis St. Suite 221
Where (virtual): Teams Link
