The Garden Twilight Series is co-produced with The Subdued Stringband Jamboree.
Hot Damn Scandal finds its songs under park benches and in forgotten alleyways, on the corner of Tom Waits and Gershwin. The resulting outlaw ballads, dirty jazz circus freakouts, shanty-rags, string band funk, lonesome heartbreakers, and whiskey bottle love songs blend together in what may be best described as “Cabaret Americana”: theatrical, orchestral, lyrical, and endlessly danceable.
Mick Flannery writes songs with fluency, expressing layered aspects of the human condition, its flaws, triumphs, and general uncertainty.
