Whatcom Land Trust invites you to attend a breakfast event celebrating business champions for local land conservation, and the strong relationship between the conservation, recreation, agricultural and business communities. Hilary Franz, Commissioner of Public Lands for Washington State is event keynote speaker. Tickets are $50 per person and may also be purchased online at whatcomlandtrust.org and by calling 360-650-9470.

This year’s honoree and recipient of the Land Trust’s 2019 Bob Keller Leadership Award is The Conservation Alliance, a consortium of outdoor companies working to protect threatened wild places nationwide for their habitat and recreational values. They collaborate to address global environmental issues by acting locally through grassroots support of local citizen action and initiatives, and by focusing on achieving tangible results. In recognition, Whatcom Land Trust honors the Conservation Alliance for its financial support of our successful Skookum Creek acquisition to permanently protect wildlife habitat, watershed health, climate resilience and recreational access. Local companies that are among the 235 businesses comprising The Conservation Alliance include American Alpine Institute, Nuu Muu, REI, Runner Girl Races and Superfeet.

Everyone in the community is invited to join us. Guests will be invited to make a gift at the breakfast. Event proceeds benefit the Trust’s mission to preserve, protect, and engage the community in Whatcom’s conservation lands and special places.
