2017 Breakfast Series
*Network * Eat Good Food * Learn About Important Issues *

In 2017 we’re excited to be launching this NEW Breakfast Series for food & farming businesses and organizations, co-hosted by the NW WA Chefs Collective! The aim is to have regular opportunities to connect with others in the industry, share a delicious local meal, and explore a topic that is timely within the food & farming sector.

Ocean Acidification Impacts to Shellfish
Marine waters support a variety of species that provide cultural, economic and recreational benefits. Shellfish, such as bivalves and crab, are among our most cherished species. Unfortunately, ocean acidification, which is a change in ocean chemistry, presents certain threats to shellfish and the human systems that depend on them. This presentation will discuss ocean acidification impacts to shellfish, emerging science and provide a forum to discuss the interface between ocean acidification impacts and the seafood industry. Leave with a better understanding of the state of shellfish in NW Washington, both for you and your customers. Free for all Chef’s Collective members, $25 for non-members.
