INCENTIVES FOR HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS
Community Energy Challenge will provide incentives for participants converting their space and/or water heating system from gas/other fossil fuels to electric heat pump technology.
Incentives for ductless or ducted heat pump space heating system (when replacing fossil fuel-burning heating system) for pre-1990 homes:
- $400 available for anyone who completes a Community Energy Challenge energy audit (pre-1990 homes)
- $800 if client first completes a Community Energy Challenge incentive-eligible weatherization project
Incentives for heat pump water heater system (when replacing fossil fuel-burning heating system) for pre-1990 homes:
- $250 available for anyone who completes a Community Energy Challenge energy audit (pre-1990 homes)
- $500 if client first completes a Community Energy Challenge incentive-eligible weatherization project
Incentives for ductless or ducted heat pump space heating system for households meeting moderate income guidelines:
- $1000 available for anyone who completes a Community Energy Challenge energy audit (pre-1990 homes), regardless of existing heating source
- $2000 if client first completes a Community Energy Challenge incentive-eligible weatherization project OR is converting from gas/other fossil fuel space heating system
Incentives for heat pump water heater system for households meeting moderate income guidelines:
- $500 available for anyone who completes a Community Energy Challenge energy audit (pre-1990 homes), regardless of existing heating source
- $1000 if client first completes a Community Energy Challenge incentive-eligible weatherization project OR is converting from gas/other fossil fuel space heating system
Incentives for ductless or ducted heat pump space heating system (when replacing fossil fuel-burning heating system) for post-1989 homes:
- $400 available for anyone who completes a Community Energy Challenge Home Energy Action Plan assessment
Incentives for heat pump water heater system (when replacing fossil fuel-burning heating system) for post-1989 homes:
- $250 available for anyone who completes a Home Energy Action Plan assessment
